Claire Rousay, who has released her latest masterpiece album, " Sentiment ," which crosses the boundaries of ambient / drone, experimental music and indie / emo rock, through the prestigious Thrill Jockey label , has announced her long-awaited first visit to Japan.

Claire Rousay was born in Winnipeg, Canada, and moved to San Antonio, Texas, USA with her family when she was a child, and has been based in LA for the past few years. She learned piano at the age of three , then started playing drums, and after dropping out of high school, she began working as a drummer and percussionist. For at least 10 years, she was based in Texas and participated in evangelical worship bands, emo-core rock bands, math rock duos, etc. After that, she started recording in the field and at home, and in the late 2010s , she began producing experimental, drone/ambient music under her own name, and has released numerous works, including `` Both '' (Second Editions / 2020) , `` a softer focus '' (American Dreams / 2021 ), and `` everything perfect is already here '' (Shelter Press / 2022) , as well as private releases on bandcamp and SoundCloud . His latest album, Sentiment , released in 2024 by the prestigious Chicago-based label Thrill Jockey , boldly incorporates his own vocals and guitar sound, and has been highly praised as a masterpiece that redefines ideas of ambient/drone, folk, country, experimental music, home recording contexts, and contemporary black music with the energy of indie rock and emo rock.
